Chris Bateman's classic volume Game Writing: Narrative Skills for Videogames returned for an enriched and updated second edition in 2021, and I contributed the chapter 'Tales Cities Tell' to it. Game Writing also features chapters by Rhianna Pratchett, Richard A. Bartle, Wendy Despain, Richard Dansky, James Swallow, Tim Langdell, Ernest Adams, and more.
